Hello DVSS members, friends, and supporters!
This year, with many dedicated volunteer hours and a small budget, we have been able to accomplish so much in our community. With the money we received through donations last year, we created interactive and fun ways to connect, celebrate, share information, and listen to our neighbors at inclusive events all Summer into Fall. The funds help maintain our website, ensure that food is provided at our evening meetings, and give us the means to print and create materials that help communicate ideas and engage with our neighbors.
If each person reading this message would take just 10 minutes, this Tuesday, November 27th, to make any size donation to support Duwamish Valley Safe Streets’ two main projects, it will easily guarantee that volunteers have the funds to continue creating stronger neighborhood partnerships that can bring public investment needed to create connected streets that are safe and healthy for all people to walk, ride, roll, and play on.
Our fiscal sponsor, Seattle Parks Foundation recognizes the important work we’re doing to improve our community and will contribute $1,000 to both Duwamish Valley Safe Streets’ projects, if we receive gifts—of any size—from at least fifteen (15) unique donors for each project.
Donations must be made on (#GivingTuesday) November 27th!
